Alarming Rain Gauge with Remote Diagnostics
The ADS RainAlert II is a low-cost wireless rain gauge that alerts operators via text or email messages when rainfall intensity exceeds a critical threshold. Priced for deployment as a stand-alone unit or part of a comprehensive monitoring network, the enclosure is suitable for wall or "lay down" roof installation under sun sheild.
The RainAlert II connects to an ADS or customer supplied tipping bucket and the wireless modem is "always-on" and ready for immediate cryout of alarms. Rainfall totals are time stamped and stored at one minute intervals or greater based on customer supplied specifications. RainAlert II is easily configured and managed using ADS Profile software and allows instant access for retrieval of logged rain and alarm data.
ADS recommends rain gauge density about every 2 square miles within the collection system service area for good rainfall correlations. The ADS RainAlert II rainfall gauge is used to collect and alarm on precipation data for use in many applicaitons including: precipitation analysis, I/I studies, CSO and SSO monitoring, early warning notification of rain intensity, sewer master plans, capacity studies, and rehabilitation effectiveness monitoring.
The RainAlert II can be combined with the new FlowAlert and IntelliServe for low cost event notification including wet and dry weather alarming.
